I figured it out by scanning the chip directly. But now I am having a problem. My original bios got corrupted so I used the bios file from here 820-00687 MB101_0163_B00_no SN.bin, and there is no ssn. How can I change the ssn? Thanks

What tool do you recommend?

I am having issues writing to this chip. The chip is w25q64fv. It can read, but errors while writing back to it. I even tried to inject 3.3v on pp3v3_sus. Using reader tl866cs and tried tl866ii plus as well. Anyone has any advise?

this computer has password. I need to know how to read the MEC1653 to remove the password.

so do i need to solder to the board to read the mec1653? or remove it to scan? This is my first time scanning a mec chip. I mostly do 8pin chips found in MacBooks and older windows computers.
